At the end of the day, he is someone who has failed to meet expectations at Man City. He fits the transfer strategy that Newcastle United have seemingly adopted this summer as well. Gonzalez is still just 24 years of age and has not even come close to his prime yet. Yet, he has already played senior football for clubs like Barcelona, Man City, FC Porto and Valencia. So, he is a serious talent who can work under the right circumstances.
