Bradford Bulls’ Elite Academy side brought the curtain down on their 2026 season with a battling display in a 40-30 defeat at Hull FC on Friday night. Having weathered an early storm, a break from deep by Marley Williams led to him finding the supporting Mason Peach on his outside to open the scoring. Three tries in quick succession saw the home side move into an 18-4 lead, but Dylan Garbett’s sniping effort from the ruck reduced the arrears before the break. An error on the kick off gave the Bulls the perfect opportunity to post points at the start of the second half, with Ellis Singer obliging to bring the scores within 2. FC then scored three unanswered tries to re-establish a healthy lead but the young Bulls refused to throw the towel in. A lovely shift from right to left saw Williams register his second assist, with Harrison Goldthorpe profiting on this occasion. Garbett then got his second to give Jonathan Schofield’s young charges a lifeline late on, but Bradford’s comeback was halted with a seventh try from the black and whites. The last scoring act of the contest was a Bradford one, with Dylan Keenan wrestling his way past two defenders to touch down.
