Cleveland Browns legend Nick Chubb officially announced his retirement from the NFL after eight seasons. Chubb played seven of his eight seasons in Cleveland, where he compiled the third-most rushing yards (6,843) and rushing touchdowns (51) in franchise history. He played the 2025 season as a member of the Houston Texans. Despite this though, he walks away from the football field with no regrets. "I say this to all my brothers still on the field, still in the heat of it: There's a life waiting for you after football, too. And health is the real wealth," Chubb said regarding retirement. "I end my career in a great place. Even though there are some things I wish had happened differently, I can say that I have no regrets." Chubb, 30, said that he's known for a while that his playing days were behind him, and now he's finally ready to share that information publicly. "Today's the day I've been avoiding for a while. Twelve year old me could never imagine this day, and 30 year old me is wondering where all the time has gone," Chubb wrote in a post on Instagram. "I've known for some time now, but I'm finally ready to share that I'm done playing football. I wanted to end my career on a healthy note, along with a winning season, and I was able to do that." Now that his playing days are over, perhaps the next stop for Chubb is a spot in the Browns Ring of Honor.
