LOSC Lille and New Balance have unveiled the club’s new 2026-27 third kit, with the latest release combining a sophisticated midnight blue colourway with details celebrating the identity and history of Lille. The new Lille 2026-27 third shirt arrives during a significant season for the partnership between LOSC and New Balance, with the two celebrating 10 years together following the beginning of their collaboration in 2016. Midnight Blue Lille Third Shirt for 2026-27 New Balance have given Lille a predominantly deep midnight blue third shirt, creating one of the more understated designs in the club’s 2026-27 collection. Rather than covering the jersey with a large graphic, the design allows Lille’s traditional symbols to provide the detailing. The most distinctive feature appears around the polo-style collar, where a sequence of red fleur-de-lis motifs runs around the edge. The same red detailing continues down the sides of the shirt. The fleur-de-lis has long been associated with both Lille and LOSC, giving what initially appears to be a relatively simple shirt considerably more local significance. There is also a contrasting red underside to the collar, adding another flash of colour when it is turned up. Silver Logos Complete the Design The dark blue base is complemented by silver branding, including the New Balance logo, LOSC crest and Boulanger shirt sponsor. Interestingly, a small red fleur-de-lis also appears within the club badge, tying the crest into the wider theme of the jersey. The combination of midnight blue, silver and small amounts of red gives the LOSC Lille third kit 2026-27 a particularly smart appearance and makes it a shirt that should work just as effectively as casual wear away from the stadium. A Tribute to Lille’s Sporting Club Fivois Heritage There is another layer of history behind the choice of blue. LOSC were formed in 1944 following the merger of Olympique Lillois and Sporting Club Fivois. While Lille’s famous red and white colours were inherited from Olympique Lillois, blue represents the Sporting Club Fivois side of the club’s ancestry. New Balance and Lille have therefore used the 2026-27 third kit to acknowledge that part of LOSC’s heritage. The tribute is particularly fitting given that it comes 85 years after Sporting Club Fivois reached the Coupe de France final in 1941, providing an interesting historical connection behind what is otherwise a very contemporary design. Lille and New Balance Celebrate 10 Years Together The shirt also contains a special detail commemorating 10 years of LOSC and New Balance. A bespoke anniversary graphic has been placed inside the collar of Lille’s 2026-27 shirts, marking a partnership that began in 2016. During that period, Lille have enjoyed some memorable moments wearing New Balance, most notably winning Ligue 1 in 2020-21 before lifting the Trophée des Champions in 2021. The partnership has subsequently been renewed, meaning New Balance will continue supplying Lille beyond its tenth anniversary season.
