Reynolds took the chequered flag in eighth place before a five-second penalty for contact with Cam Hill dropped him to 16th.
It completed a rollercoaster race for the Team 18 driver, who had been turned around by Jayden Ojeda in the early stages.
Reynolds then regained ground by running long and pitting under Safety Car before attempting to gain further places on fresh rubber.
Wood meanwhile dropped from 14th to 23rd with a 15-second penalty for spinning James Golding following the first Safety Car restart.
The Kiwi had been attempting to overtake Anton De Pasquale at Turn 4 when he lost the rear of his Walkinshaw Toyota.
Wood collided with De Pasquale, which sent the Team 18 Camaro into the hapless Golding, who spun into the dirt.
It capped a trying day for Wood, who struggled to 13th and 18th in the two qualifying sessions and finished ninth in the opening race.
Golding, though, was the big loser as a 20th place finish dropped him a place in the championship to 11th.
The winner from that is Jack Le Brocq, who vaulted back into the last Finals Series position that he’d lost to Golding earlier in the day.
