Piroe and Engels start, Nuno gets it right | West Ham starting XI vs Charlton reaction - The West Ham Way

West Ham have made two changes from the team that drew 2-2 at Burnley last weekend. New signings Joel Piroe and Arne Engels come straight into the starting XI replacing Pablo Felipe and Lewis Orford. As expected, Ollie Scarles has kept his place at left-back. Neither of them coveted themselves in glory at Turf Moor, but I think Nuno has made the right choice. The Portuguese manager didn’t have much choice about starting Piroe, Pablo is missing from the squad with a calf injury he suffered against Burnley. The starting XI: Hermansen; Walker-Peters, Mavropanos, Kilman, Scarles; Bowen, Engels, Kante, Solomon; Taty, Piroe. I think this is the lineup the majority of fans would’ve picked, but it’s up to Nuno to get the tactics and the approach to the game right and we should be more than capable of getting all three points this afternoon. It will be interesting to see how Taty and Piroe link up, hopefully the former is playing just off of the Leeds loanee, almost like a number 10. Engels in midfield should really give us a lot of energy that we’ve been missing, so it should be a much better watch than the Burnley match. Let’s hope so anyway, come on you Irons!
