Arvid Lindblad was not surprised the Dutch Grand prix sprint race lacked action. Only a single position change occured in the top half of the field after the first lap. Lindblad spent his entire race behind Gabriel Bortoleto.“I think we all knew a sprint race at Zandvoort’s probably not going to be the most exciting race,” said Lindblad. This weekend’s sprint race is the fifth of the six Formula 1 will hold this year. It is the first time Zandvoort has held a sprint race, though the track does not have a contract to hold another grand prix in the future. Despite the lack of action in his race, Lindblad said the session was useful for practice. “It’s another 20, 25 laps under my belt on a new track for me which is going to very useful for the rest of the weekend,” he said. “I think the pace is honestly better than expected. We normally struggle a little bit more in the race than quali and considering we already weren’t great in quali, to be quite competitive, quite easily able to hang on to the two guys in front I think was decent. “So let’s see for the rest of the weekend, but we know we can make a step forward.
