There will be no Irish involvement at the weekend in the CPKC Women's Open in Edmonton in Canada after Lauren Walsh, Leona Maguire and Stephanie Meadow all missed the cut.
Both Walsh and Meadow were just two strokes shy of booking a Saturday tee slot, with both following opening rounds of 73 with one under par rounds of 69 to finish on two over par overall.
However, Maguire struggled to a second round 74, registering four bogeys and finishing with a double-bogey, to post a 36-hole score of seven over par, placing near the foot of the field in tied-135th.
It's a sixth missed cut in the last nine LPGA starts for Maguire, who has endured a difficult season but was still handed a wildcard pick for next month's Solheim Cup in the Netherlands.
At the other end of the leaderboard, Miyu Yamashita has opened up a five-stroke lead at the halfway point after a second round of 64.
Last year's British Open champion sits on 14 under par after stellar showing at Royal Mayfair.
Her closest pursuers are her compatriot Yuri Yoshida, Sin Bin Joo of Korea and Kiara Romero of the United States, all of whom are on nine under par.
