If Celtic want £25m for Arne Engels then Rangers star Nicolas Raskin is worth even more says Barry Ferguson Raskin is a target for Villarreal and Real Betis in La Liga after catching the eye at the World Cup Barry Ferguson reckons Rangers would need to bank a club record sale in order to allow Nico Raskin to move on. And the Ibrox legend insists the midfielder is better than Celtic playmaker Arne Engels - who is the subject of heavy transfer interest from West Ham United. Raskin - who impressed at the World Cup for Belgium - is a target for La Liga duo Villarreal and Real Betis but appeared as a second half substitute in Gers' 2-1 loss to Jagiellonia Bialystok in the first leg of their Europa League third round qualifying showdown on Thursday night. The 25-year-old is under contract with the Light Blues until the summer of 2028 and ex captain and later manager Ferguson is adamant it would take at least £20million for Gers to sanction his exit. Speaking on GO Radio, the Record Sport columnist said: "If you look at the squad, the glaring one is Nico Raskin. He had a really good World Cup for Belgium. Is he going to stay or going to go? You'd be looking at between £15-20million for Nico Raskin. "You are not selling him for £10million. He's a Belgium international and I know he never started the first game but I thought he was probably Belgium's best player at the World Cup. "He's worth at least that (£20million). If Arne Engels is going for more than £25million, come on. Nico is better than Arne Engels. "I think Rangers have got a price in their head and if that is met (he'll go).
