Giovanni Branchini, the agent of Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus, has been spotted at Napoli’s training camp in Castel di Sangro amid reports that the Partenopei could look to bring in the Brazilian to replace Romelu Lukaku and Lorenzo Lucca. If both are to leave, Rasmus Hojlund would be left as Napoli’s only senior option at centre-forward, and there have been reports that Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus could be the man to fill the void. Now, Jesus’s agent, Branchini, has been spotted at Napoli’s pre-season training camp in Castel di Sangro. Coincidentally, Branchini also represents Napoli head coach Allegri, however, reports from Gianluca Di Marzio indicate that he is in Italy to discuss Jesus and that a new round of formal talks could take place in the coming hours. Jesus is into the final year of his contract with Arsenal, expiring on June 30, 2027, and is unlikely to be handed a new extension at The Emirates. For this reason, Arsenal are hoping to sell the Brazil international outright this summer, as a loan deal, even with an option or obligation to buy would require Jesus to be contracted to Arsenal beyond the 2026-27 season. Napoli will have to find new homes for Lukaku and Lucca first, though, if a deal for Jesus is to go ahead. Friday’s updates add that Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa’s agent, Maxime Nana, was also at Napoli’s training session along with Branchini.
