Three enormous matches with top-eight consequences light up a sensational Saturday of NRL action with Manly kicking off the day with a stunning 44-24 upset over the Knights. After six losses on the trot the Sea Eagles were desperate to hit back and they did it in style with Tom Trbojevic running for 154m in his comeback match and Josh Feledy grabbing his first career hat-trick. The win keeps Manly's faint finals hopes alive and leaves the Knights in danger of missing the top four and the double chance. The Warriors then piled on a big score to rack up their 16th win of the season and join the Panthers and Roosters on 38 competition points as the race for the minor premiership goes down to the wire. The final score at Accor Stadium was 45-26 as props Mitch Barnett and James Fisher-Harris both grabbed tries and Taine Tuaupiki had a night out with the boot as he nailed eight from eight. That field goal from Luke Hanson also propelled the Warriors to top of table at least until tomorrow night .... by one point on for and against. We wind down our Saturday triple with the Dragons and Bulldogs squaring off at Allianz Stadium. Having put together back-to-back wins for the first time in a year the Dragons were playing with new-found confidence and would have loved to take a slice of revenge for a heartbreaking golden point loss to the Bulldogs in the season opener in Vegas. However, they made far too many errors and could not execute their attack - whereas the Bulldogs were able to make their plays stick. Racing to a 24-0 lead by the break, the Bulldogs were able to withstand a show of resistance in the second half from the Dragons to get the important win. Burton is also penalised. 78th min: A late captain's challenge from the Dragons contesting the Ryan Couchman was taken out before he caught the ball has been successful. 75th min: The Bulldogs get the momentum back with Connor Tracey getting himself into a small gap in the defence, running in support of a play off Galvin and Preston, with the second rower popping the ball back in for his fullback. Crichton converts once more and the score bumps out to 42-14. Connor Tracey Try 69th min: A double for Mat Feagai after some good lead-up work on the other side of the field from Tyrell Sloan to keep the ball in and the momentum rolling. In a try to that looks similar to the one he just scored, he gets the ball out wide and puts his head down and charges to the try line. Holmes misses the conversion attempt - this time to the left - and the score remains 36-14. 64th min: The Dragons use their number and Mat Feagai is over on the right corner. Holmes can't convert so it stays 36-10. 63rd min: A professional foul from Matt Burton who holds on far too long after the Dragons show some spark and kick ahead, with Lyhkan King-Togia the first to the ball. Burton gets 10 in the sin bin. 57th min: More points for the Bulldogs with Bronson Xerri gifting Lachlan Galvin a try. From their own end, an offload from Jacob Kiraz starts the play and they go out to their left with Xerri bursting through the defence. He could have run away and scored himself, but passes back inside for Galvin to finish the job. The execution from the Dragons in all elements of the their attack has been poor and this time it's a simple poor pass that hits the deck and it's Matt Burton who picks it up and runs away to score his second. With the conversion, the Dogs have raced to a big 24-0 first half lead. 33rd min: Another blow for the Dragons, denied a try for Hamish Stewart by the Bunker with a ruling that he lost control of a ball when he was attempting to score. Despite momentum taking a sliding Stewart into the on-goal, the Bunker ruled he had used the ground to maintain possession of the ball, which is a knock on. A kick in behind the line by Lachlan Galvin gets a good bounce and his unmarked centre is able to collect the perfect bounce and run in to bring the ball back closer to the posts.
