ROH is in a dueling mood for Death Before Dishonor on Friday night (Aug. 21, 2026). ROH DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR RESULTS, AUGUST 21 Zero Hour pre-show Mina Shirakawa & Queen Aminata defeated Viva Van & Vertvixen. Competitive match. In the end, Aminata brawled with Van on the outside. Mina blocked Vertvixen’s attempt at a superplex and shoved her down. Aminata was on the spot to headbutt Vertvixen, and Mina finished the job with a flying tornado DDT to win. TBS champion Maya World is thankful for ROH opening doors in her career. She also kicked down some doors herself. Maya has an AEW world title shot against Willow Nightingale on Collision. They both dream big and work hard. Don’t be mad if Willow’s plans for All In are ruined. Willow is living in Maya’s world now. El Phantasmo defeated Adam Brooks. Cool moves aplenty. Down the stretch, ELP put his knees up to block a swan dive. ELP blitzed offense for a crescent kick and a spinning cutthroat neckbreaker. Kick out by Brooks. ELP kept on the pressure to connect on a flying crossbody and land a flying splash to win. Komander defeated AR Fox and Soleil. The three-way was full of high-flying athleticism. Komander was in the right spot at the right time to win. Soleil took down Fox on a crazy flipping cutter. Komander didn’t skip a beat to land the Cielito Lindo rope-walking shooting star press on Soleil for the pin. Afterward, Fox wanted Komander one-on-one, since he wasn’t the man who ate the loss. Respect was exchanged, and it looked like Komander was game for the challenge. Hechicero & Brian Cage defeated Jordan Oliver & Alec Price. Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta joined commentary to hype Callis Family business. Bustah & The Brain looked good with feisty offense. In the end, Cage was too much machine. He powered out of a double-team maneuver, powerbombed Price, and tossed him over the ropes crashing onto Oliver. Cage suplexed Price back into the ring to set up Hechicero for a headscissors driver to win. Death Before Dishonor PPV ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship: Jay Lethal, Blake Christian, & Lee Johnson defeated Dalton Castle & The Outrunners (c) to win the titles. Lethal Twist isolated Truth Magnum. Hot tag to Dalton Castle. The action was cooking. Christian appeared to injure his leg for real when slipping on a springboard dive. He pushed through for a couple more dives in the match. Christian turned the tide in the end. The match broke down into moves all around. Christian leaped for a springboard uppercut on Turbo Floyd, but he clutched his leg on the landing. Magnum tried to take advantage for a roll-up from behind. Christian reversed for top position and grabbed Lethal’s hand for leverage. 1, 2, 3. Lethal Twist cheated to become new champions. (Full details here.) Kingdom proposed working together with LFI in the tag title bout. Sammy Guevara and Beast Mortos agreed to make that deal. ROH Women’s Pure Championship: Deonna Purrazzo (c) defeated Steph de Lander to retain the title. Purrazzo put a clinic on the brawler. De Lander used all three rope-breaks and was warned for a closed-fist punch in the first 6 minutes of the bout. Purrazzo utilized her power game to make it competitive. She also bent the rules. There was a spot when Purrazzo stopped short of colliding with the referee. The ref cowered, and SDL took advantage for a closed-fist punch. SDL hit her finisher. Kick out by Purrazzo. SDL brought in a chair, and that tactic backfired spectacularly. Swing and a miss. The chair bounced off the ropes to hit SDL in the head. As the referee cleared the chair from the ring, Purrazzo struck with a closed-fist punch. That set up a powerbomb from the champ. Purrazzo slapped on an armbar. SDL was tough trying to escape, so Purrazzo snatched the other limb for the Venus de Milo double armbar to win in about 9 minutes. ROH Women’s World Television Championship: Red Velvet (c) defeated Marina Shafir, Skye Blue, and Zayda Steel to retain the title. Jon Moxley was a wild man on commentary enjoying the chaotic action. There was no cooperation in this bout. All four women were out to win. In the end, it looked like Shafir might take gold. She grabbed a sleeper on Blue. Blue reacted by hitting Shafir with the title belt to escape. They tussled for position. Shafir was able to secure a kneebar on Blue, but Velvet came crashing down for a flying splash on Shafir for the win. ROH Pure Championship: Lee Moriarty (c) defeated Katsuyori Shibata to retain the title. (Nigel McGuinness is not medically cleared to compete, and Shibata is the replacement.) Shibata took Moriarty to the woodshed. He schooled the champ on the mat and damaged the left leg. Shibata forced Moriarty to use all three of his rope breaks within the first 10 minutes. The third break came off a figure-four with Shibata cranking the ankle. Shibata had yet to use any rope breaks to this point. Moriarty dug deep to rally as best he could on the injured limb. Shibata regained control working for the rear naked choke. Moriarty escaped a few times by rolling for top position to force pins. Shibata went back to that same submission. It did not look good for the champ. All of a sudden, Moriarty countered to trap Shibata in the European Clutch pin to win at about 14 minutes. Preston Vance is back in Dark Order, or is he? John Silver refused to let Vance back in the group, while Evil Uno and Alex Reynolds supported Vance. They believed that the Dark Order can move forward to big things with Vance. Silver will never trust Vance. ROH World Tag Team Championship: Mistico & Mascara Dorada (c) defeated Sammy Guevara & Beast Mortos, Matt Taven & Mike Bennett, and Top Flight to retain the titles. Hectic pace of action. The storyline was the Kingdom and LFI working together. There was no turmoil, and they didn’t argue over pinfalls. The Kingdom and LFI tagged each other often and helped each other whenever babyfaces picked up steam. In the end, Sky Team and Top Flight had the opening to clear the heels out on a blitz of dives outside. Sky Team and Top Flight reentered the thing for fisticuffs. Mistico took over by executing a Spanish Fly on Darius Martin for the win. Afterward, Rocky Romero led the Callis Family to rush the ring for a breatdown. LFI joined the Callis Family to inflict pain on the champs. Ortiz ran in with a wooden stool to lead the babyface charge as the locker room emptied. The heels retreated. There were over 20 bodies milling around the ring. AEW Continental Cup play-in: Daniel Garcia defeated Adam Priest. (Eddie Kingston is not medically cleared. Winner faces Claudio Castagnoli in quarterfinals on Collision.) Garcia attacked the left leg. Priest returned the favor. Both men worked on one damaged wheel for much of the bout. Priest slapped on a figure-four. Garcia rolled to reverse it. Priest rolled it back proper, then they kept rolling to fall out of the ring. Priest still had the submission intact, and they rolled to the ramp. Priest cranked on the leg. They realized the referee was close to the ten-count. Priest released the hold, and they both limped back to the ring. Priest and Garcia remained focused on attacking the leg. Garcia finally got the upper hand by clipping Priest in the knee when running the ropes. Garcia hammered elbows to the knee, then he applied the Sharpshooter. When Garcia cranked back, Priest tapped out. Gutsy match from both wrestlers. (Full details here.) Shane Taylor Promotions celebrated Moriarty’s win. With the Hurt Syndicate in their pocket, it will be nothing but more championship gold in the future. ROH World Television Championship: Action Andretti defeated Lio Rush (c) in a Fight Without Honor to win the title. Lots of plunder, and lots of violence. Rush was busted open colliding headfirst into a chair. Andretti was cut when Rush sliced him with black glass. In what seemed like would be the finish, Rush connected on a stunner and a cutter to set up his submission finisher. All of a sudden, lights out. Lights on, and Hook was in the ring to attack Rush. The goblin still had plenty of fight, so Anthony Bowens ran in to help Andretti too. Andretti landed a springboard 450 splash through a table. Rush kicked out at 1 on the pin. The Opps set up a chair in the corner. Rush and Andretti went back and forth in movement, then Rush crashed into the chair. Andretti pounced for the Lights, Camera, Action finisher to win. After the Opps exited, Rush revealed what was inside the box. He pulled out a ‘beating’ black heart and drank blood from it. (Full details here.) This show passed the three-hour mark heading into the men’s world title bout. ROH World Championship: Bandido (c) defeated Nick Wayne to retain the title. Wayne was a bloody mess when Bandido blocked a kick and planted the challenger’s head into the ring steps. Wayne still had his wits. Bandido went for the 21 Plex. Wayne countered into a poison rana. Wayne connected on the Prodigy Plex finisher. Bandido kicked out at 1! Wayne kept on the pressure for a head kick and a second Prodigy Plex. Bandido kicked out at 2. Bandido caught Wayne in the air to execute the X Knee. Yes on the 21 Plex. Wayne kicked out! Bandido went back to the X Knee. Wayne blocked the strike and grabbed a waistlock into the corner. The referee cowered to protect himself from getting sandwiched. Wayne took advantage for a low blow. Wayne followed for a diving cutter and the third Prodigy Plex. He made a soft cover leaning atop Bandido for the pin. The champion countered for a crucifix pin to take the win. Jon Moxley cut a promo backstage. Stuff happens. People drop off left and right. Professional wrestling is supposed to be hard. Moxley would have nothing if not always ready and willing to take opportunities that arose. Daniel Garcia is ready to take his shot in the Continental Cup. Moxley would demand nothing less from him. He only asks for one thing from the team. Give 100%. Garcia wants Claudio Castagnoli to understand. The past 20 years were Claudio’s. The next 20 years will be Garcia’s. He needs the Continental Cup, because wrestling is all he has in life. This isn’t a sob story. This is a love story. Garcia wouldn’t have it any other way. ROH Women’s World Championship: Athena (c) defeated Hazuki to retain the title. Main event. Hazuki started strong, so Billie Starkz and Diamante arrived ringside to support Athena with distractions and interference. There was a point when Hazuki may have been able to win. She landed a flying senton. After Athena kicked out, Hazuki lifted her for a brainbuster attempt. Diamante distracted the referee, and Starkz saved Athena to prevent impact. Starkz shoved the boss into the referee. Ref down! The minions attacked Hazuki. Hazuki showed fighting spirit to rally on them. A suicide dive cleared those pests out for the rest of the match. There was still plenty of fighting to be done. Hazuki landed a flying splash onto the commentary table. Back in the ring, Hazuki hit the brainbuster. Kick out by Athena. The Forever Champ turned the tide with a cutter over the ropes. She followed for a suicide O-Face to the floor. Athena surged to finish with the O-Face in the ring. The American Joshi showed respect to the challenger after the match. ROH! ROH! ROH!
