The championship is organized by the ministry, with support from the Youth and Sports Welfare Fund, for the Prophet’s Birthday Cup. The tournament, held under the supervision of the Technical Committee for Summer Activities and Courses, has reached the Round of 16, which will begin tomorrow, Saturday. In the latest matches, Ahmed Zayed defeated Mohammed Rawah 2–0, while Basel Awad overcame Mabrouk Al-Sabri 2–1. Majed Al-Ma’alimi also defeated Mohammed Mudhafar 2–1, while Ali Al-Sawari beat Adnan Al-Dhabhani 2–1, in Group One. In Group Two, Abdulwahid Al-Shahdhi made a strong start by defeating Amin Omaisan 2–0. In Group Three, Mohammed Al-Bahri secured a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Mansour Lawza in a highly competitive and exciting match. Abdulrahman Al-Hatami also defeated Abdulkarim Houmesh 2–1, while the ministry’s adviser, Hassan Al-Khawlani, beat Abdulkarim Al-Jaradi 2–1. Group Four witnessed a major upset as Abdul Latif Maiad, who finished third in the previous edition, was eliminated after losing 2–0 to Sadiq Al-Salwi, in one of the day’s most notable results.
