Tyreek Hill is hoping to resume his NFL career this upcoming season after suffering a career-threatening knee injury last year in Week 4. While there are plenty of teams around the league in need of help at receiver, it appears there’ll be quite a wait for Hill. During a Friday appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Hill’s agent Drew Rosenhaus shared that the All-Pro wide receiver isn’t expected to sign with a team before the regular season begins in early September. Rosenhaus stated that Hill recently sent videos of himself running up hills, but admitted that he is not ready for a return yet. Rosenhaus made it clear that there is no timeline for Hill’s return, and he has emphasized to his client that the most important thing is getting to 100 percent before he takes the field. If that is the case, it could be several months before he ultimately lands a deal. When Will Tyreek Hill Return? If Hill had suffered a clean ACL tear back in September 2025, he more than likely would be on track for his return to the field in Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season. To that point, Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft suffered an ACL tear on Nov. 2, 2025, and he’s on track to play in the team’s regular-season opener. Unfortunately for Hill, age 32, he’s recovering from a more catastrophic knee injury. He suffered multiple torn ligaments in his left knee when it experienced a ‘severe dislocation’ against the New York Jets. Back in May, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that Hill might not be cleared to play football until “midway through the season.” Backing that point up, Hill admitted in a video posted last month that he still had “no power” in his left leg as he worked to regain the strength back following ACL and LCL surgery. It is realistic to think that the veteran pass-catcher won’t be on an NFL field again until November, and even then, whatever team he would potentially be playing for could slowly ease him into action. For now, clubs will wait to see how he recovers before exploring a contract with him.
