Bradford Bulls have confirmed that Guy Armitage’s season is over on account of injury, and with that his time at the club. Armitage was one of several players that the club recently confirmed would not be signing fresh deals at Odsal for 2027, with the former rugby union man also taking to social media to confirm that news. Posting on Instagram in the aftermath of his side’s loss to Leeds Rhinos, Armitage shared a video in which he stated: “A week ago, I was celebrating my 100th career appearance in rugby league, and a couple of days later, I got the news that Bradford weren’t going to re-sign me.” Armitage would then score in the game against Leeds, as he admitted: “I had the choice to sulk about it all week, or remember that I circled this fixture in the calendar the moment it came out and remember that I get to play a game with an incredible atmosphere. “I don’t know where I’m going to be next season, but I’m going to keep giving it my all.” Unfortunately for Armitage, he now won’t have another chance to impress any other clubs this season as the Bulls have shared a statement to confirm that the hamstring injury he suffered against Hull KR is season-ending. Now, the club have, taking to social media to announce: “Bradford Bulls can confirm Guy Armitage suffered a Hamstring Tear in last week’s clash with Hull Kingston Rovers. “The 34-year-old will undergo an operation early next week but the injury will keep him out for the remainder of the 2026 season, meaning Guy has played his last game for the club.” It’s a major blow for the Bulls, who are already short on outside backs, but for Armitage it will mean an uncertain off-season given the fact he currently doesn’t have a deal in place for 2027.
