Celtic are close to confirming the signing of Landon Emenalo from Chelsea, according to a report.
The 18-year-old would become Celtic’s fifth arrival of the summer, following Camilo Duran, Kasper Hogh, Haissem Hassan and Mika Baur.
Emenalo recently visited Lennoxtown and was given a tour of the facilities as a deal looked near to completion. CeltsAreHere understands that the youngster suffered a knock in Chelsea training and, once cleared, he will sign on loan with no option to buy. The injury is not considered serious, with a return expected soon.
The England Under-18 international impressed former Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino when he was just 15, and was admired by Enzo Maresca.
New manager Xabi Alonso has a large squad at his disposal as he looks to give fringe players valuable minutes at other clubs.
A new report has emerged that a season-long loan to Celtic is set to be announced shortly. It says (@journalism_rp on X):
“Understand Landon Emenalo is set to shortly be confirmed at Celtic FC. The left-back who can also play in midfield is set to join the Scottish Champions on a season-long loan.”

There is an expectation that the deal will be announced shortly after the Hoops’ Champions League tie against LASK. They travel to Austria for the second leg with a three-goal advantage.
Emenalo will provide cover for Kieran Tierney and gain valuable exposure to the senior set-up as he continues his development.
It is one area of the squad that has needed to be addressed over the summer, with a goalkeeper and midfielder still on Celtic’s radar.
