Previously, I spoke about shirts. Since the 2025/2026 EFL League One season ended, Luton Town Football Club have released two new football shirts, an away one and a third kit. There is no denying that replica football kits are big business and are a valuable revenue stream. When REFLO were awarded the contract to provide the Hatters with their kits they joined a list of kit suppliers that contains some famous names: - Umbro - Puma - Carbrini - Fila - Pony - Adidas to name half a dozen. When the deal with REFLO was announced, I was not sure what to expect, after all they were, to me, an unfamiliar name. Also, I do not mind admitting I was not that keen on the shirts released last season. The orange home shirt I thought was too dark a shade, more of a blood orange than our familiar shade, whereas the second kit, the blue shirt, to me looked like something Ipswich Town might wear. As for the mostly green third kit, it reminded me too much of something Forest Green Rovers might wear. But to be fair to REFLO, the two new kits released this summer are absolutely top notch. The white second kit is striking and reminds me of the glory days when white, touched up with orange and blue details, was synonymous with the Hatters. As for the third kit, the purple one, another stroke of genius and a shirt that I am sure will sell well. But talking about shirts previously, I was inquisitive as to which of the current three shirts available you preferred. Concocting a poll, with the three shirts – orange, white and purple, as the options, it seems that the white almost nostalgic one, was your favourite one taking 51% of the votes cast, orange came second with 30% of the votes cast with purple coming third with the remaining 19% of the votes. White, a clear winner, and the shirt I would love to see as our first-choice kit, but I can’t see it happening, can you?
