That total moved Reese past the record of 172 she established as a rookie with the Chicago Sky in 2024. “The Most Offensive Rebounds in a single season IN WNBA HISTORY,” the Dream announced on X, celebrating another rebounding milestone for their first-year star. Reese needed 34 games to reach 172 offensive rebounds during her rookie campaign. She matched that total through 34 appearances with Atlanta before moving into sole possession of the record against Los Angeles. Reese continues rewriting WNBA rebounding history Before Reese entered the WNBA, the single-season offensive rebounding record had stood for more than two decades. Hall of Famer Yolanda Griffith grabbed 162 offensive rebounds for the Sacramento Monarchs in 2001. Griffith also recorded 148 in 2000 and 141 in 1999, demonstrating the consistency that made her one of the league’s most dominant interior players.
