After the match, the Indian players and officials headed to the Lord’s balcony, removed their blazers and celebrated with the Tricolour, evoking memories of Ganguly’s famous celebration after India defeated England in the NatWest Trophy final at the same venue 24 years ago. A video shared by the Differently Abled Cricket Council of India (DCCI) showed the players celebrating on the balcony, with the images quickly going viral on social media. “When India wins at Lord’s, the celebrations hit different. A moment of pure cricketing joy on the Lord’s Balcony — coats off, spirits high, and the Tricolour flying with pride. 118 runs. One unforgettable celebration,” DCCI wrote on X. The celebration came after a dominant performance from India in the series finale. Batting first, India posted 206 for four, their highest total of the seven-match series. Arjun Gawre led the charge with a 68 off 44 balls, while captain Majid Magray produced a stunning late assault, smashing an unbeaten 63 from just 19 deliveries. Sai Akash also contributed as India put together a total that proved far beyond England's reach. England never got close in the chase. Hilal Ahmad Wani picked up four wickets for 21 runs, while Jayesh Parmar claimed three for 14 as the hosts were bowled out for 88. For England, the defeat brought a disappointing end to a series they had otherwise dominated. Captain Callum Flynn admitted that his team had hoped to sign off with a first victory at Lord’s. “Ultimately India were too good for us today, but we can be happy that we’ve won the series,” Flynn said. “It’s been an amazing series.
