Brie Bella is taking her recovery day by day after suffering a painful injury at WWE SummerSlam. The WWE star is currently recovering from a broken scapula, which could keep her out of action for several months. Brie has stayed away from the ring since her injury, but she has now shared an update on her recovery. The early stages have not been easy, but she is following the treatment plan given to her. Brie Bella begins physical therapy and awaits X-rays and a CT scan During a recent episode of The Nikki & Brie Show, Brie revealed that she has officially started physical therapy for her broken scapula. “I did start physical therapy,” Brie said. Nikki Bella then asked how her first session went. Brie admitted that it was difficult, especially when it came to taking her injured arm out of the sling and trying to move it again. “It was okay. It’s tough,” Brie explained. “Just like one, getting the arm out of the sling and just trying to move it around.” Brie’s comments show that she still has limited movement in her injured arm. At the same time, she needs to let the broken bones heal without allowing her shoulder to become too stiff. One concern is a frozen shoulder, which can happen when the arm stays still for too long. Because of that, Brie has to do the exercises prescribed by her physical therapist while still protecting the injury. However, physical therapy is just one part of her recovery. Brie will also have regular tests to make sure the scapula is healing properly. Brie said she is due for another X-ray, which she hopes to have this week or next week. After that, she expects to have regular X-rays to keep track of the fracture. Her next major check will come in about five weeks when she is scheduled for another CT scan. “I get my first X-ray. They’re trying to get it this week, if not next week, and I’ll be getting it every two weeks. And then in five weeks, going for my CT scan, and then we’ll see, like, if the bones are fusing. So fingers crossed,” Brie said. Brie initially thought she might need emergency surgery after X-rays showed multiple breaks in her scapula following SummerSlam. However, a later CT scan determined that she could recover without surgery. Read More: WWE’s Brie Bella Pooped Her Pants During Medical Emergency After SummerSlam Injury
