Tottenham have received a boost in their pursuit of Manchester City winger Savinho. Tottenham Hotspur cannot be any closer to signing Savinho from Manchester City. Latest reports from Brazil suggest Spurs are closing in on a record-breaking deal to sign Savinho from Manchester City for an eye-watering €100m fee. The deal is expected to go through this week, with Tottenham now facing a race against time to register the winger before Friday afternoon’s Premier League deadline for him to feature against Brentford in their opening league match of the season on Saturday. While nothing has been finalised yet, the deal is gathering pace and the North Londoners have also received a welcome boost. Manchester City eye Savinho replacement According to journalist Santi Aouna on X, Manchester City have identified Palmeiras winger Allan Elias as a potential replacement for Savinho. Palmeiras, though, are aiming to keep hold of the 22-year-old, who has a €100million release clause in his contract. A product of Palmeiras’ youth system, Allan has already made 95 appearances in their first team, bagging nine goals and supplying 11 assists in those games. The young Brazilian was linked with a move to the Premier League last year, with both Brighton and Newcastle United showing interest. The Sky Blues are now showing interest in the Brazilian, who is widely expected to be the next big Palmeiras sale following the likes of Endrick and Estevao to Real Madrid and Chelsea, respectively, in recent years. Man City chiefs are working hard behind the scenes on a potential deal for the youngster. For now, nothing is finalised. If Man City are able to reach an agreement for Allan, then it is expected that the door will be open for Savinho to finally make the switch to Spurs. The North Londoners and Savinho are a match made in heaven. De Zerbi is in dire need of a winger, with Mathys Tel the only fit player in that position. Academy talent Mikey Moore is set to head out on loan to FC Koln, while Mohammed Kudus has stepped up his rehab from a quad injury that kept him out of the second half of last season. Tottenham fans must be praying for an agreement to be reached between City and Palmeiras for Allan. This could see Savinho soon get the green light to travel for a medical, while Spurs also hope to wrap up a deal for Omar Marmoush.
