Does Stephen Nedoroscik still have super pommel horse powers without his glasses from the 2024 Paris Olympics? We’re finding out this week at the Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships. That’s because Nedoroscik donated his famous frames to the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum in Colorado Springs earlier this year. It all started when he did a meet and greet at the museum in February. Nedoroscik brought the glasses with the idea that he could donate them. “I don’t need them; they’re out of prescription at this point,” he said. The museum already had another Pommel Horse Guy artifact. In April 2025, the museum announced that among its new additions was a Rubik’s cube that Nedoroscik solved and signed while visiting the museum after the Paris Games. It’s common for Olympians to visit Colorado Springs for stays at the Olympic Training Center. Nedoroscik has solved Rubik’s cubes in under eight seconds (five seconds shy of the world record). He even solved one on camera at the 2022 U.S. Championships while waiting for his horse score. Back to the glasses, which Nedoroscik doesn’t wear while competing as his routines are more off of feel than sight. “So I kind of just brought them and out of nowhere, just like, ‘Hey, do you guys want these?’” Nedoroscik said. “They were like, ‘This would be an amazing addition to the museum.’ So I was like, ‘Please take them.’” Nedoroscik said the museum offered to rent them out so he could get them back. “No, keep them,” he replied. Why give them away? “I plan on making many more memories in the sport and in my life, and the U.S. Olympic (& Paralympic) Museum, it just feels like a good place for them to live,” he said. “I’m hoping that I can make Team USA again, so that way when I go to a national team camp in Colorado Springs, I’ll be able to do a quick visit (to see the glasses).”
