Browns urged to take chance on disgruntled $120M star who could help offense | Sporting News

The Cleveland Browns wide receiver room has improved this year, but it doesn't feel like it's still in a great spot. With quarterback play this bad, as reports suggest, it's not a bad idea to bring in more talented receivers to help them out. There are still a few decent wide receivers on the market, though some are either dealing with injuries or other problems off the field. One of those guys is Brandon Aiyuk, the San Francisco 49ers receiver, who is still technically on the team despite all of the drama that's been happening in recent months. “At this point, Aiyuk feels more like a reclamation project than a player who a contending team would be able to count upon. Because of that, a rebuilding team with a suspect wide receiver group such as the Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, Cleveland Browns or Las Vegas Raiders may make the most sense,” Mike Chiari of Bleacher Report wrote. Aiyuk isn't a bad player by any means, far from it, actually, but the attitude problem that he gave the 49ers is probably something the Browns don't want to deal with. At the same time, this is a guy who can put up a thousand-plus yards in his sleep when he's healthy and good to go, something the Browns don't really have a whole lot of.
