Ayr United have officially announced the signing of Thomas Hatton on loan until the end of the season from Celtic. Hatton had been linked with a move to the Honest Men in recent days, with Gary Naysmith’s side announcing the deal on X. Celtic fans will be sure to keep an eye on Hatton, as he certainly looked one for the future in cameo appearances for the first team. In 10 Lowland League appearances for Celtic B last season, the left winger scored five goals and provided two assists. Jude Bonnar recently spent last season on loan at Ayr, and that relationship between the clubs clearly played a part in the loan move being agreed. It comes on the same day Celtic announced a cooperation agreement with Dumbarton in League Two, with central midfielder Owen Harrington and goalkeeper Aidan Rice joining Frank McKeown’s side from Celtic B.
