The road to crowning a new TNA Knockouts Television Champion is down to the final four.
During this week’s episode of TNA iMPACT! on AMC, the semifinal matchups in the Knockouts Television Championship tournament were officially set following the latest tournament action.
Heather by Elegance advanced to the semifinals after defeating Mara Sade in tournament competition. The bout also marked Sade’s final appearance for TNA, as the company confirmed that her contract has expired and she is no longer with the promotion.
Sade chose to compete at the television tapings despite no longer being under contract, fulfilling one final appearance before officially departing the company.
With Heather by Elegance moving on, the Knockouts Television Championship tournament is now one step closer to determining its inaugural champion.
The remaining tournament matches are as follows,
* Heather by Elegance vs. Jada Stone
* Indi Hartwell vs. M by Elegance
Before Jason Hotch could enjoy his first week as TNA International Champion, Mustafa Ali made things deeply personal.
After Hotch shocked Ali to capture the TNA International Championship in the main event of the July 30 edition of TNA iMPACT!, the new champion celebrated the milestone with his wife and young daughter at ringside.
During this week’s episode of Thursday Night iMPACT!, Hotch and his family were shown together in the locker room before he left for a scheduled championship photoshoot. After kissing his wife and daughter goodbye, Hotch promised he would be right back.
Moments later, Mustafa Ali walked into the room.
Ali calmly sat down beside Hotch’s wife and reminded her that when Jason Hotch’s TNA contract was nearing expiration, it was “Uncle Ali” who stepped in and saved his career. While insisting there were no hard feelings, Ali said Hotch had “bit the hand that fed him” by defeating him for the championship, adding that he now had no choice but to reclaim the title.
The segment then took an even more unsettling turn.
Ali looked toward Hotch’s daughter and stated that no matter what happened to Jason, he would always take care of his “baby girl.” He then placed his hand on Hotch’s wife’s leg and told her he would take care of her as well, leaving the family visibly uncomfortable as the confrontation came to an end.
When Hotch learned about the encounter, he immediately confronted Ali and the rest of Order 4, including John Skyler, Tasha Steelz, Agent Zero, and Mila Moore. The confrontation quickly turned physical before officials intervened.
The chaos ultimately led to an agreement for a rematch, with Hotch set to defend the TNA International Championship against Ali at Lockdown inside a steel cage.
Following the brawl, Hotch officially announced his departure from Order 4 and urged longtime tag team partner John Skyler to leave the group with him. Skyler declined, admitting he couldn’t walk away because he still needed the security that came with working for Ali, leaving the former partners on opposite sides of the conflict heading into Lockdown.
