Ravens Reacts: biggest roster concern after win vs. Eagles?
It’s your last chance to answer this week’s survey about the Baltimore Ravens!
The Baltimore Ravens could not have asked for a better start to the Jesse Minter era with a 24-7 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday night. But a stellar secondary, exciting wide receiver play, and excellent coaching does not eliminate the remaining concerns about the team – namely, center, tight end, and specialist. What’s your biggest worry about the team?
Dustin’s take: My biggest concern for the 2026 Ravens has to be the center position. The three-way competition for the job appears to be down to two players at the moment after Danny Pinter was carted off the field during a joint practice with the Vikings. Pinter seemed to be the frontrunner after taking first-team reps throughout training camp. Most assumed that veteran Ethan Pocic would take the role after Baltimore signed him a month ago, but he does not appear ready for full action at the moment as he continues to recover from a torn Achilles suffered in December of last season. Jovaughn Gwyn demanded everyone’s attention with an excellent outing in the team’s first preseason game against the Eagles, but the jury is still out on whether or not he will sustain that level of play across multiple games and especially against another team’s starters. The Ravens upgraded both guard positions on paper from last season, so the need for a top-end center is lessened, but we have all seen how quickly interior pressure can derail an offense, so it is vital for the Ravens to come away with at least average play at the position this season.
