Everton have contacted Arsenal over a possible deal for Gabriel Jesus, according to Spanish outlet AS, with Ipswich Town reported to have made a similar approach.
Arsenal have set an asking price in the region of £18-20m for the 29-year-old, who enters the final year of his contract next summer.
Napoli have emerged as the most active suitors in recent weeks, and Jesus has also drawn interest from AC Milan, Juventus, and Atlético Madrid, though he is understood to prefer staying in the Premier League.
Everton’s interest is not new. The Toffees were linked with a January move before turning instead to alternatives, and have since been described as long-term admirers who have struggled to meet Arsenal’s valuation and Jesus’s wage demands.
A fresh contact, if accurate, suggests David Moyes has kept the door open as Everton continue searching for attacking reinforcements, with Thierno Barry and Beto yet to convince as a first-choice pairing.
Ipswich’s reported involvement is notable given their position. Newly promoted back to the Premier League, they would offer Jesus regular football but a considerable step down in ambition from a side who have won four Premier League titles and a Champions League with Arsenal’s former rival, Manchester City.
Neither club has confirmed contact, and Arsenal are yet to signal any change to their asking price. For now, this remains one of several enquiries Arsenal have fielded as they look to move Jesus on before the window shuts.
