A LATE goal from Charlie Faulkner earned Coventry United a hard-fought 1-0 victory away at Long Eaton United. Faulkner struck four minutes from time to settle the game at Grange Park as United secured back-to-back victories in the league. The result means Coventry sit fourth in the Northern Premier League Midlands table with United unbeaten in three matches. With the game heading for a stalemate, Coventry struck four minutes from time to snatch the points in bizarre fashoion. Long Eaton goalkeeper Lewis King saw his attempted kick intercepted by Faulkner who raced onto the loose ball in the box to finish into an empty net. Coventry are next in action against Whitchurch Alport in the FA Cup on Saturday, August 22 with kick-off at 3pm at Black Park Road.
