Arsenal could be braced for exits before the transfer window closes and it's emerged that one of their stars has been offering himself to Barcelona every day. After winning a first Premier League title since 2004, the Gunners have been active in the transfer market as they look to strengthen their squad. Bruno Guimaraes and Christos Tzolis have been brought in for a combined total at £120 million, while Piero Hincapie's loan move from Bayer Leverkusen has been made permanent. Arsenal have also wrapped up a £50 million deal for Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa, adding another defensive option. Advert Departures will be necessary, with Gabriel Martinelli, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Martin Zubimendi some of the stars linked with moving on. However, it's emerged that striker Viktor Gyokeres has been offering himself to Barcelona on a daily basis. The Swede only signed for Arsenal last summer, joining from Sporting CP in a £55 million deal as the North London giants finally brought in a new striker. The former Coventry striker scored 21 goals in his debut campaign but did find himself playing second-fiddle to Kai Havertz for the latter stages of the season - particularly in big games. Havertz got the nod in the Community Shield win over Manchester City last weekend and appears to be first choice for Mikel Arteta. With Gyokeres potentially the back-up striker, journalist Victor Navarro claims that he could potentially join Barcelona as he is very much open to the switch. The La Liga champions are desperate for a new No.9 after Robert Lewandowski left on a free transfer and Spain's World Cup hero Ferran Torres signed for Paris Saint-Germain. Julian Alvarez appeared to be their top target but Atletico Madrid are adamant he is not for sale and will not change their stance. They also like his Argentina teammate and Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez and Sporting striker Luis Suarez, as well as Nicolo Tresoldi of Club Brugge. However, Gyokeres could be a more attainable option. Taking to X, Navarro wrote: "Lautaro Martínez becomes, with the consensus of the entire club, the number one option for Barca. ‘Yesterday the club once again received the information that Gil Marín is vetoing Julián Álvarez. "Gyokeres is offering himself to Barça daily. [Nicolo] Tresoldi is very, very much liked at FCB." Arsenal begin their Premier League title defence with a clash against newly-promoted Coventry City at the Emirates on Friday. Topics: Arsenal, FC Barcelona
