Konosuke Takeshita has been gone from AEW since early July in order to compete in NJPW’s G1 tournament. Now that Takeshita is done with that tournament, it was time to return from Japan on tonight’s (Aug. 19) episode of Dynamite.
Takeshita returns to AEW and whoops some ass while Okada abandons his family
The Alpha is back in AEW and kicking ass after losing in the G1 tournament.
Takeshita is booked in a 3-way match against Kazuchika Okada and AEW International Champion Kyle Fletcher on Aug. 30 at All In London. On tonight’s Dynamite, Okada verbally ran down Takeshita as a selfish asshole for turning his back on the Don Callis Family to pursue his individual championship ambition.
Fletcher came out to the ring and responded to Okada’s wish for them to put family first when they fight Takeshita at Wembley Stadium. If that’s the case, Kyle said Okada should have no problem working together at All In to put down Takeshita and help Kyle retain his belt.
The champ turned his rage and trash talk towards Takeshita at that point, and made fun of him for losing in the G1 tournament. Kyle said he didn’t know where Konosuke is right now, but he found out moments later when The Alpha’s music hit.
Takeshita stormed the ring and whooped Fletcher’s ass with Raging Fire. Okada was nowhere to be seen to save his fellow Callis Family member.
What excuse do you think The Rainmaker will come up with for being a selfish asshole and not saving his family member who holds a title he wants to win at All In? Let me know in the comments below, Cagesiders.
