In Scotland, he won the Hearts B team’s Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year awards for 2025/26. Originally a midfielder, Osborne switched to centre-back last season. He enjoyed great success in his new role, captaining Hearts’ Under-18s side to glory in the Scottish FA Youth Cup final. He has also represented Scotland at youth level, including captaining the Under-19s in the qualifying for the UEFA European Championship. Osborne is a big talent, and a move to Stamford Bridge should help his development in the future, no matter where he ends up playing regular first-team football. Reports surfaced in the media on August 19 that Chelsea have a group of up to 12 players training away from the first team. A number of players in this group look destined for the Stamford Bridge exit doors, including Liam Delap and Tosin Adarabioyo.
