The Seattle Seahawks obviously won the Super Bowl last season, so they've been getting lots of well-deserved recognition. There's nothing wrong with that.
But, that doesn't mean every player has been in the spotlight. Even though this team is fresh off a championship win, there are some players that are just now starting to bloom.
Not everyone on this team has the name recognition of Sam Darnold, but they all are an important piece of the scheme. Now, one NFL analyst believes a player on the Seahawks' squad is primed to not only have a breakout season but also make it to the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career.
Seattle Seahawks player Nick Emmanwori could be headed for his first Pro Bowl
On Wednesday, Kevin Patra of the NFL's official website released a feature selecting one player from each NFC team that he believes will be a first-time Pro Bowler this season. For the Seahawks, he likes Nick Emmanwori. If the safety can stay healthy, it'll likely be a big year for him.
"Injuries slowed the start of Nick Emmanwori's rookie campaign, but by the end of the season and into February, the versatile defensive back was among the most impactful in the game," he notes in the piece. "In the mold of a Kyle Hamilton or Derwin James, Emmanwori's ability to create havoc wherever called upon is game-changing for Mike Macdonald's unit."
He adds that Emmanwori is "already one of the best slot corners, able to use his physicality to win, shows keen blitz timing, and is a stud against the run. Barring injury, he shouldn't be left off the Pro Bowl ballot in 2026."
There's no reason not to believe this could happen for the Seahawks player this season.
