The fan shared footage from the match’s final moments. They discussed expectations surrounding The Rock passing the torch. Many fans expected The Rock to put Cena over. Instead, The Rock secured a clean victory that night.
Chioda responded by sharing his personal recollection afterward. He claimed Cena wasn’t pleased about doing the job. “John Cena was not happy about doing the job that night!”
The WrestleMania 28 loss didn’t end their rivalry completely. Cena and The Rock eventually met again at WrestleMania 29. This time, Cena defeated The Rock in their rematch. Cena also captured the WWE Championship with that victory.
