ESPN networks have picked up the rights to the inaugural Lexus Global Lacrosse Games that will take place this December at The St. James outside D.C. The Premier Lacrosse League and Women’s Lacrosse League are putting on the event in co-promotion with the National Lacrosse League. Four nations will compete in the event: the U.S., Canada, Australia and the Haudenosaunee Nationals. World Lacrosse is sanctioning the event, which will see each nation field a men’s and women’s team. The tournament begins Tuesday, Dec. 8, and runs through the following Sunday. The sides said a TV schedule would be announced at a later date.
