WORCESTERSHIRE CCC have provided a squad update with the club preparing to return to County Championship action this week. The Rapids suffered a group stage exit in the One-Day Cup as Worcestershire failed to defend the title they won in 2025. And the Pears now return to red-ball action in Division Two of the County Championship. Pears head coach Alan Richardson has provided an update on the status of Adam Hose, Dan Lategan, Adam Finch, Gareth Roderick, Ethan Brookes and Jack Home. Hose has not featured for Worcestershure since the middle of the club’s T20 Blast campaign after suffering a significant hamstring injury. However, following a period of rehabilitation, Hose has now rejoined the squad for full training and is available for selection. Lategan also sustained a hamstring problem while batting in Worcestershire’s One-Day Cup group game against Middlesex. The injury forced Lategan to miss the remainder of the tournament but he has now fully recovered and is available for selection again. Finch has returned to New Road to join up with the squad after helping Manchester Super Giants win The Hundred competition. Roderick is also available for selection after he overcame a back problem he picked up during the latter stages of the club’s One-Day Cup campaign. Brookes remains sidelined after he suffered a fractured displacement in his left thumb in June. He is currently in his rehabilitation process and has resumed individual fitness and early stages of light training. The club have said Brookes is still ‘some time away’ from reaching match fitness. Home is also out injured following a long-term hip problem he sustained earlier this month. He is undergoing a more extensive assessment and is in the process of seeing a specialist. The club have confirmed Home is unavailable for selection for an extended period. Worcestershire travel to Gloucestershire on Thursday, August 20 with play to begin at 11am.
