AC Milan made two important announcements on Tuesday evening when it comes to the club’s future between the posts.
Mike Maignan remains in undisputed number one despite the recent noise surrounding the Frenchman, while Lorenzo Torriani has impressed in preseason and Pietro Terracciano remains a reliable back-up.

However, beyond those three there are a number of interesting goalkeeping talents that are vying to prove they deserve a shot at being the main man in years to come. On that theme, Milan announced a renewal and a new signing on their website.
Starting with the extension: “AC Milan is delighted to announce that Léo-Paul Bouyer has renewed his contract with the Club. The 2008-born goalkeeper will continue to be part of the Milan Futuro Project, an initiative dedicated to the growth and development of young talents.”
Then, the announcement of a new addition to the ranks: “AC Milan is delighted to announce the signing of Ilja Pantelin, who will be part of the Milan Futuro project, an initiative dedicated to the growth and development of young talents.
“The goalkeeper, born in 2007, arrives from TSC Bačka Topola and has now committed his future to the Rossoneri.”
Whether Pantelin will be the new back-up to Bouyer remains to be seen, but it comes amid the context of Alessandro Longoni’s departure on a free transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
