Andy Whing bolsters attacking options as Coventry City and Crewe Alexandra forwards join on loan Brackley Town have confirmed the loan acquisitions of Coventry City’s Josh Toluwaloju and Crewe Alexandra’s Fin Roberts. Just in time for Brackley’s trip to Telford United on Saturday, Toluwaloju and Roberts check in at St James Park to bolster manager Andy Whing’s options across his forward line. Centre-forward Toluwaloju arrives on a one-month loan after spending the second half of last campaign on loan with Step 3 side Stratford Town, in the Southern League Premier Central. The 19-year-old was popular amongst the Bards faithful and he netted a goal in Stratford’s 2-0 home win over Kettering Town back in April. “I’d classify myself as a hold-up kind of striker and I like to get the team up the pitch,” Toluwaloju told @BrackleyTownFC. “Last season, I had a good experience on loan and learnt a lot of valuable lessons. Hopefully I can transfer that to here. “After the relegation, the aim is to get back to the National League and I want to be part of that story.” Roberts, meanwhile, has made six senior appearances for Crewe since joining from Bromley in June 2024. The 20-year-old has spent much of his first-team career so far out on loan, with two spells at Chester and one at Kidderminster Harriers. Last season was Roberts’ most successful to date as he scored two goals in 29 appearances for seventh-placed Chester in the National League North. Despite his game time falling away in the final month of the campaign, Roberts made a decent impression at Chester, starting 11 times in the league. Looking ahead to his spell with the Saints, Roberts said: “It’s a tough league and I am buzzing to come here, it’s a big club for the level and I’m really excited to get started. “Speaking to the manager and seeing what his plan was for the season and his plan for me, I think this will be a good club for the level and hopefully we can finish high up in the table.” Toluwaloju and Roberts are not the only new signings ahead of Saturday’s visit to Telford, with two permanent deals over the line.
