Leeds United are still keen to bring in another striker this summer, with Daniel Farke looking to take some of the pressure off Dominic Calvert-Lewin ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
The former Everton forward enjoyed an excellent first season at Elland Road, scoring 14 league goals and playing a major role in Leeds securing their top-flight status. However, when his goals dried up, Leeds often lacked another reliable option to step up, highlighting the need for greater depth in attack.
That makes another centre-forward one of the club’s biggest priorities before the window closes. Farke wants someone capable of challenging Calvert-Lewin for a starting spot, while also giving him the flexibility to play both forwards together when needed.
The new striker must also be capable of leading the line when Calvert-Lewin is unavailable. Adding that quality and competition would give Farke more attacking options and ensure Leeds are not overly reliant on one player over the course of a long Premier League season.

The Whites are still looking to bring in at least three more players, potentially four, after Nico Elvedi, while also working to move on a trio of players in the coming days.
Joel Piroe is now on the verge of joining West Ham after completing his medical, and his departure would free up space for Leeds to bring in another striker.
Adding another forward remains one of the club’s biggest priorities, with Daniel Farke keen to take some of the goalscoring burden off Dominic Calvert-Lewin during the 2026/27 season.
Zian Flemming has been heavily linked with a move to Leeds, and the Whites have been stepping up their efforts to take him to Elland Road.
However, according to journalist Ben Jacobs, Everton are also interested in getting their hands on the 28-year-old striker.
He scored 11 Premier League goals in 21 starts for a struggling Burnley side, and that has attracted the attention of a few top-flight clubs.
Italian and Dutch clubs are also keen to snare him away from Burnley, who are trying hard to convince him to stay this season.
Flemming scored twice at the weekend to help Burnley come back from two goals down to get a draw against West Ham.
Zian Flemming would be a smart signing for Leeds
The 28-year-old Dutchman was Burnley’s top scorer in the Premier League last season, scoring 11 goals in just 29 appearances.
Flemming managed to make an impression despite playing in a struggling side, which has understandably attracted interest from several Premier League clubs.
Only Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored more league goals than Flemming among Leeds’ current squad last season, while Noah Okafor finished three goals behind the Burnley forward.
With Premier League experience already under his belt and a proven ability to find the net, Flemming looks like exactly the sort of opportunity Leeds should be looking to take advantage of before the transfer window closes.
