PFF, Saudi Arabia explore new avenues for football development and collaboration

LAHORE - Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) President Syed Mohsen Gillani met Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmad Farooq in Riyadh and discussed avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation and promoting football in Pakistan. During the meeting, the two sides explored opportunities for collaboration with relevant stakeholders in Saudi Arabia to support Pakistan’s football ecosystem and create greater opportunities for players, coaches and sporting institutions. The discussions also covered potential initiatives aimed at enhancing football development and engagement at both national and grassroots levels. Gillani briefed Ambassador Farooq on the PFF’s ongoing programmes and future plans to expand and strengthen football across the country. He highlighted the federation’s efforts to provide greater opportunities for players and develop the sport through sustainable initiatives. The ambassador appreciated the PFF’s efforts and assured his support in exploring avenues for enhanced cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in sports, particularly football. The meeting highlighted the potential of football as a platform for strengthening people-to-people ties and further deepening the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
