Stephanie Vaquer’s first match since returning to WWE television is now official, but she won’t be easing back into the action. After a chaotic start to this week’s RAW, the former Women’s World Champion has been booked to face Roxanne Perez on the Aug. 24 edition of the red brand, setting the stage for another chapter in an already heated rivalry. The match comes just weeks after Vaquer resurfaced on RAW following her post-WrestleMania absence. While her return was meant to send a message to Liv Morgan, Roxanne Perez had the final word when the dust settled. Stephanie Vaquer vs. Roxanne Perez headlines WWE RAW return This week’s RAW opened with Vaquer calling out Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan and demanding an immediate fight. Instead, Morgan arrived with Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, quickly turning the confrontation into a numbers game. Becky Lynch raced to the ring to even the odds, but the alliance didn’t last long. With both women chasing Morgan’s championship, tensions flared between Lynch and Vaquer, creating the opening Judgment Day needed. Morgan dropped Vaquer with a Codebreaker before Perez added Pop Rox to leave the returning star laid out. Talk about getting a “Pop” that nobody wanted. Next week’s one-on-one match allows Vaquer an opportunity to settle the score with Perez. This would also continue her pursuit of Morgan and the Women’s World Championship. The bout will take place in Ontario, Canada, where RAW begins at 6 p.m. ET, two hours earlier than usual, as WWE is scheduled to hold a double television taping. The Aug. 24 show will also feature the World Heavyweight Championship No. 1 Contendership Tournament semifinals, with Penta facing La Parka and Rey Fenix taking on Dragon Lee. Additionally, Bron Breakker and Oba Femi will come face-to-face for a contract signing ahead of their Sunday Night’s Main Event showdown. For Vaquer, the road back officially starts next Monday. Whether she gets revenge or Perez steals another victory remains to be seen. Nevertheless, the former champion will be looking to turn the tide before the title picture moves on without her.
