Local lad Cummins, who can play at fly half or full back, will join up with Redruth on a season long loan having made his Cornish Pirates debut against Camborne in last week’s Pre Season friendly. Joint Head Coach, Gavin Cattle, is excited at what Palmer can offer the team. “Joe is another young Cornish talent who has impressed after training with us during pre-season. He’s versatile and as you will have seen, has already shown enough for an opportunity to pull on a shirt. Redruth is a great place for him to continue his development and I’m sure it won’t be long before we see him wearing a Pirates jersey again.” Cummins said it was a dream come true to sign with the club. “I’ve really enjoyed this pre-season far with the boys. It’s always been a dream of mine to get stuck in with this group, so I’m excited to see what the season holds.”
