He was a Bundesliga Player of the Season and also the league’s top goalscorer the following year, back when he was playing his football at Red Bull Arena. Could RB Leipzig derail Nkunku to Newcastle United chances? For a player who has struggled for form these last three years, the idea of going somewhere where he has already been a success might be attractive. In comparison, a move to Newcastle United would come with more risk. What if it does not work out again? We have already seen Nkunku fail to establish himself in England once, as he did not meet expectations at Chelsea. Obviously, that would be the risk for Newcastle United as well. Nkunku would be a big-name signing for sure. But that does not mean that is a move that is guaranteed to bear results.
