Barcelona have announced the signing of Spain captain Rodri from Manchester City on a four-year contract. The midfielder, who was named player of the tournament in Spain's World Cup triumph this summer, completed a €75m move on Tuesday following a medical with the Catalan giants. Rodri spent seven seasons with City, helping them win the Premier League on four occasions and scoring the only goal when they edged out Inter Milan in the 2023 Champions League final. "Barcelona and Manchester City have reached an agreement for Rodri, who is committing to the Catalan club until June 30 2030," read a statement from the La Liga champions on their website. Juventus have signed goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario from Tottenham Hotspur on a season-long loan. The deal includes an option for Juve to make the move permanent at the end of the season, Tottenham said. Vicario, 29, joined Spurs from Empoli in 2023 and made 117 appearances for the north London club, keeping 29 clean sheets. He was part of the side that won the Europa League in 2025, ending the club's 17-year wait for a major trophy. The Italy international began his career at Udinese and had spells with Venezia, Perugia, Cagliari and Empoli before moving to England. Vicario received his first senior Italy call-up in March 2024 and has five caps for his country. Newcastle have signed Bosnia and Herzegovina defender Amar Dedic from Benfica for a reported fee of £29.5m (€34.5m). The 24-year-old, who made three appearances for his country at the World Cup, has agreed a five-year contract and becomes the Magpies' sixth summer arrival. Dedic is reunited with boss Matthias Jaissle, who he played under during spells at previous clubs Liefering and Salzburg. Dedic, who has 31 international caps, began his professional career at Salzburg in 2015 and spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Marseille before joining Benfica in the summer of 2025. Brighton have signed Canada international Promise David from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise. The 25-year-old, who scored for his country at the summer's World Cup, has joined the Seagulls on a season-long loan from the Belgian club, with the move becoming permanent if certain conditions are met.
