Giants' Cam Skattebo Makes Surprising Admission About Moment After Gruesome Ankle Injury

The New York Giants are starting over again with a new head coach coming to town in the form of former long-time Baltimore Ravens sideline boss John Harbaugh. The same can be said about running back Cam Skattebo, who is looking forward to his second season in the NFL following a rough rookie campaign. While Skattebo had left many impressed with his incredible abilities on the field during his first year in the NFL, he wasn’t able to do more because of a devastating injury he suffered during a game against the Philadelphia Eagles in October. The 24-year-old Skattebo, this time around, has already seemingly forgotten about his injury, as it’s all about getting down to work and proving he’s back in his old form — if not better. Giants Star Skattebo is No Longer Bothered by the Thought of His Devastating Injury Talking to reporters on Monday, Skattebo revealed that he’s completely over his injury. “If it’s not bothering me, my mind is clear of it. When I went out there on Saturday, I had no feeling or any recollection of injury in my brain. I was ready to go play football,” the former Arizona State Sun Devils star running back said recently (h/t SNY). In the eight games he played in 2025, he started in five contests and racked up 410 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 101 carries, while adding 207 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 24 receptions and 32 targets. He’s shown that he can be a reliable threat on the ground and in passing situations, and he will look to be an even more impactful weapon in 2026 for the Giants’ attack that averaged 333.5 total yards per game last season.
