The Dallas Cowboys' defense was a problem throughout 2025, a collapse that began after Jerry Jones traded All-Pro edge rusher Micah Parsons before the season even kicked off. Popular Cowboys analyst and former defensive end J Tuck didn't sugarcoat how he felt about the front office wasting Prescott’s elite season. He took 31 sacks and spent nearly every week trying to erase deep deficits because of the weak defense. The pass rush struggled badly without Parsons, leaving the entire unit near the bottom of the league. To make matters worse, Green Bay got exactly what they paid for. Parsons racked up 12.5 sacks in just 14 games before a torn ACL ended his season in December. For J Tuck, it was definitive proof that whatever Dallas got in return didn't come close to matching the damage done to the Cowboys' record. But Tuck’s main point isn't about yelling at Jerry Jones for the fumble he did. The former Super Bowl Champion has accepted the reality. Dallas now has a blue-collar defense built to grind out field-position battles, and Tuck hopes it will be enough while the front office figures out its next long-term move at edge rusher.
