Jones gives update on Kolisi, Nché as Boks prepare for All Blacks INJURY UPDATE: Springbok assistant coach Felix Jones has provided a positive update on Siya Kolisi and Ox Nché, with both players on course to be available for selection for Saturday’s opening Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry Test against the All Blacks at Ellis Park. The pair were the only injury concerns flagged by head coach Rassie Erasmus on Monday, with both needing to come through training successfully before the Springboks name their team on Thursday. Kolisi suffered a hamstring injury against Argentina and was forced off after just 20 minutes, while Nché has not played since suffering a knee injury against England earlier this year. *Continues below… Fair assessment? 👀https://t.co/eoNoVxVJFJ — Rugby365 (@rugby365com) August 18, 2026 Erasmus said on Monday that the pair could be available if they came through that day’s training session. Jones provided further encouragement on Tuesday, confirming that there had been no major setbacks. “Both are tracking pretty good,” he said. “There’s been no flags or issues from what we’ve seen today in training. We’d still have another session around the week, but there’s been nothing majorly negative coming out of either of their recovery plans.” The Springboks will therefore have one final training session to assess the pair before Erasmus announces his team on Thursday.
