Fixture News Town Learn Vertu Trophy Fixture Schedule 18 August 2026 Facebook X (Twitter) LinkedIn Email Copy Fleetwood Town can confirm the dates and kick-off times for our 2026/27 Vertu Trophy Group G fixtures, with an opening away trip to Oldham Athletic before home clashes against Barnsley and Leeds United U21s at Highbury Stadium. Matt Lawlor’s side were drawn alongside Barnsley, Oldham Athletic and Leeds United U21s in Group G following June’s Group Stage draw, with the full fixture schedule now confirmed by the EFL. Town will begin their Vertu Trophy campaign on the road, travelling to Boundary Park to take on Oldham Athletic on Tuesday 22 September, with kick-off at 7:00pm. The Cod Army then return to Highbury for back-to-back home fixtures, starting with the visit of Barnsley on Tuesday 6 October, before welcoming Leeds United U21s on Tuesday 24 November, with both matches kicking off at 7:00pm. As in previous seasons, the top two sides from each group will progress to the knockout stages, which remain regionalised until the Quarter-Final stage. Matches level after ninety minutes will go straight to a penalty shootout, with an additional point awarded to the shootout winners. All Vertu Trophy fixtures will be broadcast live on Sky Sports, giving supporters the opportunity to follow every moment of Town’s campaign throughout the competition.
