August 18 – Uber has extended its partnership with Como 1907 for another four years – but will move from the front to the back of the club’s shirt after being replaced in the lead position by Revolut. The mobility company had been Como’s first Main Partner following the club’s return to Serie A, giving it the most prominent position on the playing shirt during the early stages of the club’s rise. That inventory has now gone to Revolut, with Uber moving to the back of Como’s Serie A and Coppa Italia shirts for the first two seasons of its renewed agreement. Uber will remain Como’s Official Mobility Partner and has signed on for another four years, extending a relationship which began before the club returned to the Italian top flight. Since then, Como have moved quickly. Their progress has now carried them into the Champions League for the first time, and Uber will be recognised as a Founding Partner of what the club is calling its “Champions League Era”. The partnership has also had a practical element away from the shirt, with the two sides working on transport and mobility around Como – an issue of some importance in a city dealing with large numbers of tourists alongside matchday traffic. Como Chief Business Officer Ryan Shelton said: “Uber believed in Como early, before we had reached Serie A, and became our first Main Partner when we returned to the top flight. What began as a sponsorship has developed into a genuine business partnership, and this new four-year agreement is a powerful example of what it means to grow together.” Davide Archetti, General Manager of Uber Southern Europe, said: “This four-year renewal reflects our long-term commitment to the club and to the city. Together, we want to build innovative mobility solutions that make it easier for supporters, residents and visitors to move around Como, while continuing to support the club as it enters an exciting new chapter on the European stage.” Como will make the journey to Udine on Saturday to open their Serie A account.
