Turkish football commentator Levent Tüzemen has questioned Galatasaray's transfer strategy, expressing concern that the club has not made enough additions to maximize the impact of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen ahead of the new season.
His remarks came during an assessment of the club's recruitment, where he also criticized the signing of Lesley Ugochukwu.
Speaking about Galatasaray's business in the transfer market, Tüzemen argued that the club has yet to provide Osimhen with the type of attacking support needed to get the best out of the Super Eagles forward.
"No player was signed to excite Osimhen. Galatasaray still hasn't signed a winger who can energize Osimhen. I don't understand this transfer policy," he said as quoted by habersarikirmizi.
"You can't manage things this easily; you need to understand football too."
The experienced pundit believes the Turkish champions should prioritize recruiting players capable of supplying Osimhen, who has established himself as one of the team's most influential attacking figures since joining the Istanbul club on a permanent deal.
Tüzemen also questioned the decision to bring in midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu, suggesting Galatasaray already had a suitable option within the squad.
"I wouldn't have signed Ugochukwu when Nhaga was here. Who made this transfer, anyway?"
His comments add to the ongoing debate surrounding Galatasaray's transfer policy as the club continues to strengthen its squad for the new campaign.
Despite Tüzemen's concerns, Galatasaray remain active in the transfer market, with the club continuing to be linked with several players as they prepare for another domestic title challenge and a return to European competition.
