The last few days have been very busy ones for the FC Barcelona sporting department. The defender is not a part of Hansi Flick’s plans for the next season, but is enjoying interest from another big European club, Borussia Dortmund. In fact, Mundo Deportivo cites Sky Sports to claim that he is the highest priority option for the Bundesliga side to reinforce their right flank. The Germans are also keeping an eye on the Chelsea fullback Josh Acheampong and the Torino defender Marcus Pedersen, but Fort is ahead of both of them on their priority list. The player himself is also ready to undertake the move to Dortmund, and the Bundesliga club has already held direct negotiations with Barcelona for his signing. For their part, the Blaugranes are valuing the defender between €15-20 million, and would be keen to see him leave as he is not in Flick’s plans, and has also been training apart from the rest of the team for the last few days as the club looks to finalize his departure. However, FFP constraints might keep Borussia Dortmund from getting Hector Fort this summer, unless they can move on some of their current players, and thus, they might prefer the option of getting him from Barcelona on loan this summer.
